postheadericon Upcoming Events!

The Comforting Quilter's have been working like dogs the past few weeks in preparation for our Mercantile store to be open and ready for business on May 1st during the Battle of Byron.

Stop by the Mercantile and enjoy a glass of home made root beer, a root beer float, a game of checkers or a jigsaw puzzle or a cup of boiled peanuts among many other items we will be selling.

You will also be given the opportunity to enter the Quilt Raffle for a beautiful quilt created by our team of quilters to help provide quilts of comfort to those in need.

In addition, the Bryon Depot Museum well be transformed into a historical walk down quilters lane, with a wide array of quilts provided by some of our local residents. These quilts all tell a story and the show promises to be a highlight to our Mercantile store.

postheadericon Comforting Quilters Fundraiser!

Comforting Quilters is making it's debut at the Battle of Byron to held in downtown Byron, GA on the 1st of May!

The event is sure to fun-filled, and as usual, our fun group of gals have a great day of Old-Time Mercantile Relaxation planned for all those who stop by to visit.

The planning has been fast and furious, but plans are in the works for the First Annual Quilt Show to be shown in the Depot Museum, a Quilt Rack displaying the techniques of quilting by hand, and a Quilt Raffle to go to the lucky winner of a authentic Comforting Quilter's quilt.

While we'll be selling raffle tickets all day, if you miss out, you can always catch us during the month of June. The raffle is scheduled to draw it's winner on the 3rd of July at Noon during the Byron Downtown Farmer's Market.
